Overview

Practitioners will demonstrate expertise and awareness of the work of dog wardens, the safe handling of dogs, and the different responsibilities that fall to local authorities and police. They will have an understanding of the breeds that may fall within the category of dangerous dogs. They should be able to efficiently undertake regulatory duties to ensure legislative compliance and apply their skills and knowledge in the use of preventative measures and the control of strays.
