The first Better Business for All (BBfA) awards showcased the work of partnerships in contributing to local business growth since the initial development of the programme in 2011-2012. There are now nearly 200 local authorities involved.
BBfA has made a positive impact by improving the way regulation is delivered and received, supporting growth of small businesses by providing a model for partnership working between businesses and regulators, and focusing on changing the culture of regulatory delivery at a local level.
Local partnerships have received support from LEPs, local authority chief executives, Growth Hubs, FSB, Chambers of Commerce, and many other stakeholders since their conception, in order to make their activities as effective as possible.
Partnerships have enabled regulators to understand businesses better and tailor their services to meet business needs. The BBfA Awards recognise and promote that good practice.
The winners were announced at the BBfA Shared Learning Day on 8 March 2016.
