Officers should have a firm grasp of the UK legal framework for intellectual property, including a detailed knowledge of the law relating to copyright and trade marks and the associated enforcement options, an understanding of prominent case law, and an awareness of the law concerning patents and designs and all the ancillary legislation associated with intellectual property investigations.
