Product Safety Principles

Overview

Practitioners must have detailed knowledge of all the principles relating to the safety of goods for sale in or supply to the domestic market in the UK. They should understand the legislation as it relates to the manufacture of products and the General Product Safety Regulations 2005 (covered in a separate module). They need to have a good understanding of the inter-relationship between consumers, products and the environment in which they can be used, as well as the impact of world and consumer trends on product safety and product safety controls.
